Your verified venue is protected

When you claim your venue and it’s verified, its core details lock to you. Your website, your Google listing, and your Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok handles stop being editable — by you, by anyone else, or by our automatic updates. This keeps your verified page firmly yours.

What’s protected

These are the details that identify your venue, so they’re the ones we lock:

  • Your website address.
  • Your Google listing.
  • Your Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok handles.

Everything else still works as normal. Your menu stays live from your Services catalogue, your posts and reviews keep coming in, and your page stays current — only these identity details are frozen.

Why we lock them

Your venue page collects a history — your menu, your posts, your reviews — in our shared market library. If anyone could point your website or your handle at a different account, they could quietly take over that history. Locking the identity details once you’re verified means your page can only ever be yours, and no one can re-point it to themselves.

Changing a locked detail

Most of the time you’ll never need to. But if you rebrand, move to a new website, or pick up a new social handle, those locked details need to change — and that’s a quick request, not a dead end.

  1. Get in touch with support and tell us what changed — your new website, new Google listing, or new handle.
  2. We confirm it’s still your business.
  3. We update the locked detail for you, and your page carries on with its history intact.

Worked example

A skin clinic verifies its venue, then six months later rebrands and moves from oldclinic.com to glowclinic.com with a fresh Instagram handle. Because the venue is verified, the clinic can’t swap the website itself — which is exactly what stops a stranger from doing it too. The owner messages support, we confirm it’s the same business, and we update the website and handle. The clinic’s menu, posts, and reviews stay attached to the same page throughout.

  • Claim your venue — how a venue becomes verified in the first place.
  • Services — where your menu lives, still fully editable.
