Team members — who can sign in to your studio

Team members is the list of people allowed to sign in to your studio. Each person has a role that decides what they can do once inside. Add someone here and your studio opens up to them; remove them and they’re locked out. Only studio owners can invite people or change roles.

The same person can be on more than one studio’s team. Once someone belongs to several, a studio switcher appears in the top bar so they can hop between them — each studio keeps its own team, prices and brand.

How to use it

Open Settings → Team. You’ll see everyone with access, their role, and any invites still waiting on a first sign-in.

1. Under Invite a teammate, enter your teammate’s email.
2. Pick a role — Staff is the safe default if you’re unsure.
3. Press Send invite. They appear right away, marked Pending until they sign in.
4. To change someone’s access later, pick a new role from the dropdown on their row.

Inviting someone new

When you send an invite, your teammate gets an email with a link to sign in. If they’re brand new, the invite also reserves their spot — either way, they get access the moment they sign in at app.bitetheskin.com with that same email address. You can Cancel a pending invite any time from their row.

Heads up

Removing a teammate locks them out of your studio immediately — they lose access to the Library, the Composer, everything. Their own account still exists, and you can invite them back with the same email, but anything in progress in their session is gone. A studio must always keep at least one Owner, so the last owner can’t be removed or moved to a lower role — and you can’t remove yourself.

Fine-tune one person’s permissions

A role is the quick way to set what someone can do, but you can adjust any single person on top of their role. On their row press Permissions to open the editor. Each permission is a switch, grouped by area — Photo Studio, Growth, Reports, Studio settings, Team & roles, and Activity log.

• A green Added tag means you switched something on that their role doesn’t normally include.
• A red Removed tag means you switched something off that their role normally has.
• No tag means it still matches their role.

Reset to role default clears every tweak and puts them back exactly on their role. Anyone with tweaks shows a small Custom tag in the team list.

Note

You can’t switch off your own ability to manage the team — that would lock you out of this screen. And you can only fine-tune someone once they’ve signed in: a pending invite has no permissions to tune yet.

Worked example

Sofia hires Maya, a new lash tech who’ll help with social posts. Sofia opens Settings → Team, enters Maya’s email under Invite a teammate, and picks the Staff role. The invite shows as Pending. Sofia messages Maya to sign in at app.bitetheskin.com with that email; the moment she does, the pending mark clears and she lands in the shared studio — same Library, same brand. A month later Maya’s covering reception too, so Sofia bumps her to Manager in one click.
