Competitor TikTok — their views, formats, and the sounds they use
On TikTok, views are the real measure of reach: a video can get thousands of views with few likes and still reach many people. The TikTok section reads a competing studio’s recent videos so you see what actually reached people, the formats they use most, and the sounds they use — the things Instagram and Facebook never show you.
How to use it
Add a competitor by their TikTok @username (the Add a competitor card → TikTok), or open any competitor you already track and link their TikTok on the TikTok tab. The app reads their recent videos and refreshes them each week.
The first time you open a competitor’s TikTok tab, it may show a short message from Nova — “Their TikTok is linked — ready to read” — with one Read their TikTok button. Click it. Nova opens their page and reads their profile, newest videos, views and likes, and the sounds they use. This takes about 10 to 30 seconds, and then the charts and the insight fill in.
Each video card shows its views and likes; tap one to open it on TikTok (videos can’t play inside the app). The TikTok insight card shows: how often they post, which formats work, what sounds they use, and where you can do better. Use Show 50 more from TikTok to read more of their older videos.
Worked example
A rival skin clinic posts three transformation videos a week, almost all using the same popular sound, and their before/after reveals often get past 100k views. The insight card shows it: that reveal format and that sound are what works for them. Maya plans her own reveal series in the Composer, in her studio’s calmer, ritual-led voice.
