Competitor Google reviews — what their clients really say

Instagram shows what a competing med-spa claims. Google reviews show what clients actually say — the difference is your opportunity. Link a studio’s Google listing and the app reads their public reviews so you see the real picture: the rating trend, the recurring praise, and the complaints that are openings for you.

How to use it

On a competitor’s page, find the Google section and paste their Google listing link (open Google Maps, find the studio, copy the link). The app pulls recent reviews and updates them automatically. Google reviews come in slowly, so you do not need to check often.

The Google insights card sorts the noise into what clients love, what they complain about, and where the studio is weak. A short line under the title tells you how many reviews the read is based on and when it last refreshed, so you know how much signal it had. Look closely at unanswered questions in reviews. A client asking “do you do Russian volume?” with no answer shows demand the studio ignores—this is your chance.

All captured reviews sit in a scrollable list, and Show 50 more from Google reaches deeper into their history when you want the fuller picture. Each review shows the writer’s name. A Guide tag and review count show how experienced the reviewer is. A complaint from someone with 200 reviews matters more than a one-time reviewer. Their listing photos sit just below.

Why complaints matter more than the rating

A 4.8 average does not tell the real story. A run of “the wait was an hour” or “nobody answered my question about pricing” tells you exactly where a competitor is frustrating clients — and gives you a concrete promise to lead with that they can’t.

Worked example

Maya links a competing lash bar’s Google listing. The insight card surfaces a pattern: glowing on results, rough on booking — three recent reviews mention unanswered messages, and several ask about aftercare with no reply. She leads her next week of posts with “message us, we answer within the hour” and an aftercare guide.
